Delete Your Account

You have full control over your data.

You can permanently delete your The Club Golf account and the personal data associated with it at any time. There are two ways to do this:

Option 1 — Delete From Inside the App (Fastest)

  1. Open The Club Golf app and sign in.
  2. Go to Settings.
  3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
  4. Confirm — your account and personal data will be queued for deletion immediately.

Option 2 — Email a Deletion Request

If you can't access the app, or you'd like us to handle the request manually, send an email to:

support@theclubgolf.co

Please include the following so we can verify it's really you:

  • The email address registered with your account
  • Your username (if you remember it)
  • The subject line: "Account Deletion Request"

We will confirm your identity, complete the deletion, and email you confirmation when it's done — typically within 7 days, and always within 30 days of your request.

What Gets Deleted

  • Your name, email, username, profile photo, and bio
  • Your location data, golf preferences, and saved courses
  • Your direct messages and chats (also removed from other users' threads, where technically feasible)
  • Your posts, comments, and reactions
  • Your scores, rounds, and side-game history tied to your account
  • Your device tokens, push-notification subscriptions, and session data

What May Be Retained

For legal, security, fraud-prevention, or financial-record reasons, we may retain a minimal record of the deletion event (date, hashed account identifier, and reason) for a limited period. Anonymized aggregate analytics — data that can no longer identify you — may be retained indefinitely. We do not use any retained data to re-identify you.

Things to Know Before You Delete

  • Deletion is permanent. Once your account is deleted, we cannot recover any of your data, friends, scores, or history.
  • You will lose access to all in-app benefits, including any lifetime founding-member status.
  • If you only want a break, consider logging out instead — your account will stay safe until you return.
  • If your account has unresolved obligations (such as a side-game dispute under review), we may delay deletion until those are resolved.
